What is it?

Have your overall health and fitness checked out at a time and place that suits you. You can choose from two levels of health screen so you can select the level of cover that is right for you:

• Mini Health Screen

  This is a 20 minute assessment that will measure your, total cholesterol, height, weight/BMI, blood pressure, resting heart rate, blood glucose. You will be provided with a biometric report card straight after your appointment and some health guidance and tips to take away with you.

• Well Person Plus Health Screen

  This 90 minute assessment is a more comprehensive screening. This offers a range of testing and thorough consultation time with a doctor and nurse which is an ideal opportunity for you to talk about all aspects of your health in complete confidence. In addition to what is covered in the Mini Heath Screen your urine, lung function, hearing and vision are measured. You will also have a full physical assessment and a resting ECG which looks at the health of your heart.

  You’ll leave with immediate feedback on most tests, with later confirmation of the results of tests which require laboratory analysis, and a clear plan of action for the future if necessary.

• Decide which health screen option is right for you and your partner - you can choose from two different options: Mini screen and Well person plus screen.
• If you've previously selected a health screen and you want one during the next flex year you will need to go into the enrolment site and re-select it (previous choices for this benefit will not automatically carry forward).

The following table provides an overview of what is included in each level of health screen:

Completion & review of a health questionnaire & review of history; present health problems & lifestyle issues
Review of height, weight and weight distribution (BMI)

Vision screen test
Review of results & action plan of any abnormalities
Written report to home address
Blood glucose levels
Full physical assessment by a doctor
Full blood profile, including biochemistry profile, liver function, kidney function, thyroid function, blood fat profile (including total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL, HDL cholesterols) No Calcium, phosphorus, uric acid, glucose and serum iron)
Haematology profile, full blood count and ESR
Resting ECG

Payments for this benefit are taxable using the P11D process

• Have you ever had a proper health screen?
• Are you worried about any potential health problems?
• Do you have any family history of medical problems?
• Are you planning any major events over the next year - such as starting a family?
• If you select this benefit and leave during the year you will have 30 days in which to take the health screen.
• With discounted rates available for you and your partner, you can have the reassurance that your health is being monitored.

When you enrol you will be asked to provide us with some contact details so that we can contact you to arrange a convenient time for your health screen.
